When I was five, my family won the prize for having the biggest family in River Falls. At the time, there were eight of us; two years later, my youngest brother, Paul, was born.
Growing up in a family of nine kids, it’s rare to get exactly what you want. You eat what is served, wear hand-me-downs, and work hard to do as well as your older siblings did in school.
My father had a good job, but with nine of us, my parents had to work hard to get ahead in life — and they expected the same of us. Gina and Jody work at 3M, Jennifer is an artist. Kevin works in information systems, Shelly farms with her husband and raises horses...

Feb 4, 2008. Alison Page visited with Dunn County Democratic Party members at their annual holiday party on Jan. 27 at Stout Ale House in Menomonie. She has announced her candidacy for the 10th Senate District of Wisconsin. A resident of River Falls, she works in Minneapolis as an administrator for Fairview Medical Systems.
